Czech Aerospace Research Centre (VZLU) is the national centre for research, development, innovations, and testing for the aerospace industry. LOM PRAHA is a leading company in the field of maintenance, life cycle support and modernisation of the Mi Series helicopters, including airframes, engines, gearboxes and other aggregates together with overhauls of piston and L-39 engines. LOM PRAHA is also fully certified by domestic aviation authorities.
Of equal importance is specialised training of pilots. We focus on training of helicopter and fighter jets pilots as well as improving the skills of cabin and ground crews. Our company also offers all areas of air and ground simulation solutions.
At present, we are involved in professional activities connected with the rearmament of the Air Force of the Czech Republic to combat helicopters AH-1Z Viper and multi-purpose UH-1Y Venom. This includes both technical maintenance and repairs of a higher level, as well as the area of simulation technologies through training equipment. Among our latest projects is our involvement in the F-35 project.
The key customers include governments of countries on five continents, as well as prestigious companies operating in the field of aviation technology. LOM PRAHA is a state enterprise established by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.
Modelárna Liaz, based in Liberec, is a Czech company whose main activities are the development, design and production of parts, tools and fixtures for the automotive, energy and aerospace industries and the development and production of the unmanned helicopter – Skyspotter.
The company has been developing helicopters since 2018 and in this six-year period has developed three models - the original Skyspotter 150, the 151 and the current 152.
Skyspotter is a fully autonomous and independently operating unmanned helicopter that is capable of performing a range of civil, rescue, reconnaissance, defence and security tasks. Due to its size, it achieves unique flight parameters and is able to fly in autonomous mode according to a pre-programmed scenario.
Vrgineers is a leader in developing immersive technologies and provides high-quality, effective training for military pilots using the advanced XTAL VR and MR headsets, along with aviation simulators that serve as the foundation for a modern synthetic training platform. The XTAL headset, designed with input from aviation professionals worldwide, meets demanding requirements for realistic simulation.
The interconnected trainers facilitate comprehensive scenarios, including individual and cooperative exercises involving pilots, co-pilots, gunners, JTAC instructors, and squadron coordination. Vrgineers’ simulators support diverse aviation platforms, from propeller-driven to supersonic aircraft and helicopters.
